Friday was the first clear day in a very long time, so I brought my astronomy class outside to look at the sun through our solar telescope. We had the opportunity to view some@amazing prominences, filaments, and sunspots!

Mr. Farina also got a few of the Leo Triplet. This is one Mono frame for Luminance. He has not yet made a Color image for this one. Clouds starting to roll in as he was starting his second LRGB run. L is for Luminance (brightness image), R is for Red, G is Green, and B is blue. By combining each of these RGB colors channels in photoshop, Mr. Farina will be able to create a full color image.
