Since retiring from my day job as an RN and from quilting for others, I've been busy working on all those UFOs waiting to be be finished. I still have many projects in various stages of "in progress" but they are getting done and my collected stash is starting to dwindle. I've also been spending more time with family and just enjoying being a grandma. Life is really good!

Thank you to all of our members and visitors who attended the opening party on Friday – you made it a smash! This exhibit, nearly two years in the making, is now open to the public, so we hope you will return and bring friends and family, as well as spreading the word far and wide. Since my hubby and I retired, we have been traveling back and forth cross country. We have been extremely blessed! I have visited many quilt shops, bought yards and yards of fabric, several patterns and so now will be spending the winter months sewing and quilting. I have done some stitching in our motorhome, taking my featherweight with me. I wait for rainy days! This past 7 weeks we have had NO rainy days, just an occasional storm at night. So needless to say, not much stitching was done! We have enjoyed every minute of camping, hiking, photographing, and exploring the roads less taken!
