The Lancaster School of Cosmetology & Therapeutic Bodywork is an accredited school that was founded and incorporated in 1979. At this time it was located in downtown Lancaster in a single-story building. In 1984 the owners of the school purchased an old elementary school building that was built in 1900, and had been vacant for some 30 years. The two-story building has since undergone a major rehabilitation and modernization, and provides 10,000 square feet of space for classrooms and student laboratory. The school can accommodate more than 60 cars in its parking lot. In 2002 the new owners purchased the school and have continued to make renovations and expand the program offerings. In addition to being licensed by the State Board of Cosmetology, we are licensed by the State Board of Private Licensed Schools a division of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Welcome to the Exciting World of Personal Services. Lancaster School of Cosmetology & Therapeutic Bodywork provides countless opportunities for growth and fulfillment. Employment options include: hair design, color technician, perm specialist, nail technician, estheticians, sales representative, platform artist, massage therapist, or research assistant. You may wish to open your own salon or work with a group of specialists in this exciting field of personal services.
