Friday, February 10th marks the 2 year anniversary Deah Barakat, 23, Yusor, 21, and Razan Abu-Salha, 19, were murdered in their home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by their neighbor for being Muslim. The trio, or Our Three Winners, were community leaders and activists who embodied what it meant to be both Muslim and American. The Franklin & Marshall Muslim Students Association hosted a Day of Light to reflect upon and honor Our Three Winners’ lives and their legacy. The MSA had small activities and tidbits regarding some concepts in Islam that these three students upheld during their short yet fruitful lives. Do's and Don'ts for Bystander Intervention

This holiday season, please consider donating to the Muslim Students Association at Franklin & Marshall College. We currently have a very small budget, but YOUR donation would allow the F&M MSA to serve the needs of Muslim students on campus and have a greater presence on campus. This includes allowing the MSA to better educate not only Muslim students, but others on campus about Islam by having the resources to put on more events and programs on campus (such as by inviting knowledgeable and well-respected Islamic speakers, providing workshops), and allowing the F&M MSA to sustain relationships with other MSAs (such as by covering transportation and registration fees for off campus events).
