CV delivered another Baby Buckskin bag today! 👶🏼

Families living in CV who have newborns (ages 0-6 months) can sign up to receive welcome bags that contain items such as board books, teethers, a CV Baby Buckskin Bib, and information promoting early learning!

🗓️ The Matthew's Miss10n fifth-annual backpack drive will be taking place on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the CV Church of Christ located at 2045 Horseshoe Rd. Lancaster, PA 17602.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and the event goes until 2:00 p.m. or until all backpacks and school supplies are gone.

There will be 200+ backpacks and school supplies to choose from for grades prek-12! There is no cost or fee. It is first come, first serve. All backpacks and supplies are free to those in need this school year.

Thanks to a generous grant from Conestoga Valley Education Foundation, CV was able to hold a two-week Language and STEM-focused summer camp designed to support English learners! The camp provides students with structured, engaging instruction that strengthens English language development while building foundational STEM skills through hands-on, project-based learning.

Today, campers had a VERY fun hands-on activity - building "animal traps" and LEGO animals! Students built their traps and then worked in small groups to build dogs 🐶, cats 🐱, birds 🐦, bunnies 🐰, and hamsters 🐹 !

🗓️ CV's School Spirit Day will be held Sunday, Aug. 23. Join us at the ballpark as we celebrate CV! Wear your red and blue, show your Buckskin pride, and enjoy a fun day of baseball with friends and family. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. and first pitch is at 1:30 p.m.

Students and staff receive free tickets and paid tickets are available for friends and family.

The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program provides free pre-kindergarten services to three- and four-year-olds and offers full day services in CVSD. This program is held in all four of CV’s elementary schools. Transportation is provided and students follow the district calendar.
