The district comprises East Lampeter, Upper Leacock and West Earl Townships (approximately 33,000 residents). CV is known for its excellent and caring teaching staff and strong academic programs. Highlights at the secondary level include Advanced Placement (AP) courses, college-in-the-high school and dual enrollment courses, award-winning arts programs, growing world language offerings (including Spanish, Latin and Chinese) and a physical education and health program recognized as a leader in best practices.

🔤 Brownstown Elementary Kindergarten classes have partnered with Oregon Dairy Farmstead to put together a Letter Hunt for children in the community. Our kindergarten students hid alphabet pictures throughout the store for other children to find. Be sure to stop in at the service desk before you begin so that you can get a recording sheet for your child. When you are finished, return to the service desk for a prize. This activity will take place, October 8th – 14th. …and it is FREE!

The Oregon Dairy has other fun things happening that weekend as well!

CVSD is part of the First 10 Network, an initiative that engages elementary schools, districts, early childhood programs, and community agencies in building systems of support for children and families. The first 10 years of a child’s life are a critical developmental period that impacts all that follows and CV is committed to providing robust early childhood education opportunities for young learners in our district, even before they enroll in our schools.

Don’t forget, our Leola Homecoming event is tomorrow night from 5:00-7:30! Join us at the playground parking lot for inflatables, magic, face painting, Photo Booth, and so much more! All registered families should stop by the registration table for their ticket for a hot dog, chips, and water. There will also be food trucks there and sales help support our PTO! 🗓️ Mark your calendars for Monday, Nov. 2. The (free) event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at CVHS. All high school students, guardians, and adults interested in pursuing higher education are encouraged and welcome to attend!

There will be over 215 schools in attendance and two free seminars are offered, as well.
