My beloved planner is my lifeline for keeping things running smoothlyđ I chose a Plum Paper planner because of the ability to customize. I love that I can personalize the front of the planner. They had many patterns, colors and options. As you can see, I used a pic of my lovesđThe whole month view is a must have for me. I have to have the option of being able to see the whole month at a glance. And last but not least, I had the option to customize with each family member - so I can fill in each childâs activity for each day, my daily work as well as what my husband has going on. I added âWorkoutâ and âMealsâ in the additional space so I can plan ahead when needed. If a paper planner is for you, check out https://www.plumpaper.com/ and look at all the options. There is something for everyone đ

My dry erase calendar and my wall bins are how I keep things flowing in our house. This has been in place for years not just because of the coronavirus đIt took me several tries to find what worked for my family. The calendar is big with plenty of room in each box for writing in upcoming events and daily activities for 5 people. Itâs a place where all family members can check in to see whatâs happening. The wall bins keep papers straight for each child. I know a lot of people only use digital calendars and that is wonderful but those just donât donât work for me. I need to be able to physically see the whole month and go through the exercise of writing it down. I take about 15 minutes on the last day of the month to fill in that dry erase for the upcoming month . I do keep an actual paper planner(more on that later) for filling things in months out and I do check that planner to make sure I have all things on the wall calendar. If you are using something now whether it be your phone or paper calendar and you still canât seem to keep things straight, donât be afraid to try something new. If you need help figuring out what will work for you, feel free to message me. đ

Do you have an area in your home that is the family catch-all - a drawer, counter or bookshelf that seems to be the place where things pile up? Now is the time to clear it out once and for all. Set a timer for 15 or 20 minutes and focus on just that area. Grab a tote or basket and pick up all the things that donât belong there. Then move about your home and put everything where it should go: pencils go in the pencil holder, keys go in the key basket, mail gets sorted with junk mail going right in the trash and bills finding their space etc. If there are things there that belong to the kids, have them put them away. If you do this once a week or better yet, daily it will take a lot less time and the clutter will not have the time to pile upđ
*Helpful Hint: sort the mail daily - preferably right when it is brought in to the house. This is a huge time saver.
