Brand new $2,500 (well, second winter, but only used once last winter) 28" deluxe. All of a sudden the engine starts skipping until it just won't stay running. Checked the carb, fuel, compression, even the valve lash. Found the coil had a broken, intermittent wire. My last 824 snowblower lasted 25 years and it still ran when I gave it away. The new crap they make is junk, cheap parts, crappy design, horrible. I judge quality by the amount of brands I see at repair shops, and new make up half. They are no longer the king, they lost their way and sold out with cheap Chinese crap.

I am really liking this electric jack.

Your engine building series was one of the best references I had for learning how different aspects of an engine affect performance. That knowledge helped me immensely when i rebuilt the engine in my truck right after high school.

This is kinda car related because it's the future of Pete's Garage.

I've lived outside of Buffalo, NY my entire life, except for the 4 years I served in the United States Air Force. All four of my great grandparents settled here in the early 1900's. Four generations later we are being forced to leave. For retirement I had a plan to build a small home with a great big garage to be the new Pete's Garage. Live out my days making videos, sharing knowledge, meeting great people, and keeping myself busy while reducing my tax burden with a smaller, single-floor footprint. I never imagined that plan (and dream) would get completely taken away by a corrupt, inept politician, who is from Hamburg, NY, just about 15 miles from my home. My dream and future stolen, for a ludicrous idea that is completely unjustifiable.

But, I'm stupid enough to live in New York where the now Communist Governor Kathy Hochul made it illegal for any new building under 7 stories to use natural gas as a fuel source starting 12/1/2025. I can not imagine living through a Buffalo winter relying solely on electricity to heat my home and cook my food. I worked in the alternative fuels industry for years. Working with politicians, municipalities, businesses and private entities to switch to natural gas vehicles. I was part of the consortium that made domestic energy policy recommendations to the President Bill Clinton administration to drive tax dollars towards research and implementation of clean burning natural gas school and transit buses. You can still see them now, right on the side "Powered by Natural Gas". I promoted and supported fleets of natural gas buses and vehicles from Long Island to San Diego. I was at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta to make sure none of the 110 natural gas vehicles being promoted as the "The Clean Future" for vehicles broke down or had refueling issues. Up until early this year New York State and National Fuel would pay huge incentives to switch furnaces and appliances to clean burning natural gas. 30 years of lying to the country, billions and billions of tax dollars wasted, and a generation of Americans used as pawns for more tax dollars. This has nothing to do with Donald J. Trump, it is 100% void of any political preference. It is statement of fact. While Americans are screaming their rights are being taken away when they aren't, my right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness was quite literally taken away by one person. I only hope that Elise Stefanik becomes the next Governor of New York and reverses this crime against the citizens of New York. This is the only way I get to stay where I was born, instead of moving to a state that allows me my God given rights.
