Last Day, Part 2!
Our parents have navigated pick up & drop off lane changes and our students have watched from their classrooms as construction vehicles came & went all year. Today, they were able to enjoy the completion of the new gymnasium with a walk through & the chance to sink a free throw! It was a special treat for our school family to enjoy on our last day - and provided a little taste of the fun that our students will enjoy next year! Go SJNCS Mustangs!

Last DAY! And even though it was only four hours....it was jam packed with activity.
We started the day with our Trimester 3 Awards Ceremony, followed by a song by our amazingly talented PK students, a heartfelt goodby to three of our equally talented teachers & an "it's way too soon" farewell to Father Stiteler. We send them off with all of our love & prayers - and maybe a few extra little items for the man headed to Hershey. Our final All School Mass of the year was next - lead by teachers. Fr. Dan gave each of our classes a special blessing for the summer - from our new Kindergarteners to our new eighth graders and reminded them all that Jesus is always with us, even over the summer.

Before they left, two of our eighth-grade students who faithfully raised our flag each morning trained the new seventh-grade teams who will carry on this important responsibility next year. The students learned how to properly secure the flag to the halyard, raise and lower it with care, fold it correctly, and—most importantly—ensure that the flag never touches the ground.
It was a special moment as our eighth graders passed on both the skills and respect this duty deserves and we are sure that our seventh graders will perform it admirably next year.

Sneak Peak!
Today our students were able to get a little taste of what next year is going to look like! Each class, PK to Grade 7, "moved up" a grade, met their new teacher, sat in what will be their new desks & learned about the exciting (& challenging) year ahead!

It's the last day at SJNCS for our eighth graders and we are squeezing in as many additional memories as we can. Today, Ms. Henry took them on their own private tour of the new gym. As you can tell from the looks on their faces, they thought it was pretty nice.
