Horizons at LCDS

Horizons at LCDS Horizons at LCDS is an educational program designed to close gaps of achievement and opportunity for under-resourced public school children in Lancaster, PA.

We are an affiliate of the award-winning national non-profit, Horizons National. Horizons is a network of public and private school partnerships that provides early childhood intervention, summer enrichment, and school year support for Kindergarten-8th grade under-resourced students and their families. The goals of Horizons at LCDS are to stop summer learning loss through fun and challenging academics, to expose students to enriching experiences in technology, the arts, PE, science and nutrition, to alleviate food insecurity, and to provide confidence-building, life-saving swimming instruction to the kids who need it most.
