Hey, parents! Here are some friendly ways to connect with your scholar during the week. Think BIG and stay curious! 💛

Instead of only asking, “How was your day?” try questions such as:

✨ What made you smile today?
📚 What is one thing you enjoyed learning?
🍎 Who did you sit with at lunch?

Meaningful conversations begin at home and help our babies feel seen, heard, and valued. Remember, they experience many of the same emotions we do and need a safe space to share them.

Make the everyday moments count—take a morning selfie, snap a picture after school, and create memories while staying connected! 📸

🎓 WEDNESDAY HBCU DROP: ALLEN UNIVERSITY 💛💙

Located in Columbia, South Carolina, Allen University was founded in 1870 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Originally named Payne Institute, the university was later renamed in honor of Bishop Richard Allen, founder of the AME Church.

Today, Allen University continues its proud tradition of faith, education, leadership, and service. Scholars, your purpose can take you places—perhaps even to Allen University!

Check out our newsletter as we begin to build community to transition into a micro school serving the Lancaster and surrounding areas. We initiated a soft launch where we will host Saturday Schools twice a month at Lancaster’s very own SOW Church. During these Saturday adventures, you can expect your scholar to engage in small group or individual tutorials, activities that encourage scholars to think beyond their traditional classroom walls. We will also partake in field trips to allow the scholars to socialize and explore the DFW area. You do not want to miss out on a great experience for your scholars.
