While most houses featured in Lancaster’s Parade of Homes are built by industry professionals, our students built the College’s home entry, gaining firsthand experience in guiding the home from blueprint through completion.🏠

After nearly two decades as a combat medic, a medical discharge forced Andrew Geiger, a 2026 Thaddeus Stevens College Residential Remodeling Technology graduate, to rethink everything he thought his future would be. What began as a desire to learn how to fix things around the house became a new purpose and career path.

From the labs to the national stage, Thaddeus Stevens College continues to demonstrate the expertise that sets us apart.

This year, 18 students represented the College at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, showcasing their talents alongside nation's most capable competitors.

Getting to the national stage takes months of preparation and technical expertise. While 8 students brought home a new medal, everyone showcased what makes the community so special.

We couldn't be prouder of these 18 students for stepping up to the challenge and showing what's possible when passion meets opportunity.

Electrical Technology Dual Credit Instructor - provide hands-on, industry-aligned instruction that enables students to complete the first year of an Associate of Applied Science degree while still enrolled in high school. Instruction will emphasize electrical theory, wiring methods, safety, troubleshooting, and practical application while preparing students for postsecondary education and employment in high-demand technical careers.

Electromechanical Technology Dual Credit Instructor - provide practical, hands-on instruction aligned with advanced manufacturing and industrial maintenance industry standards. Students will complete coursework that supports completion of the first year of the Associate of Applied Science degree while gaining foundational skills in mechanical systems, automation, industrial controls, robotics, PLCs, and troubleshooting.

The Steinman Community Learning Center is taking shape, and with it comes new opportunities for Lancaster.

Designed to be a hub for community, the Learning Center will create spaces that introduce middle and high school students to future careers and expand childcare access for students, staff, faculty, and the community.

At , our mission is rooted in creating opportunity and expanding access to education. The Steinman Community Learning Center reflects that commitment by introducing hands-on activities that could lead to careers in the trades or technology, while creating a place to connect and support each other. 🏫

For their capstone project this year, our Civil Engineering Construction Technology second-year students left their mark right here on campus.

At our Griscom location, students transformed an aging loading dock into a refreshed and more welcoming space for the campus community.

From replacing damaged concrete to repairing and improving surrounding areas, students applied the technical skills they’ve developed throughout the program while creating an outdoor gathering space for students, complete with new benches.

Projects like this reflect the power of applied learning at , giving students the opportunity to put their education into practice while making meaningful contributions to the spaces around them. 🦺

A strong workforce is built through connection and opportunity. And those can happen while working hard but also by having some fun!

Thaddeus Stevens College recently joined the Reading Fightin Phils, jumping in a Sunday Fun Day that brought the broader community together. During the game, Champ took part in throwing out the first pitch and Dr. Chris Metzler, Director of Athletics and VP of Student Services, shared about in the press box! ⚾️

In his Commencement speech, Computer and Network Systems Administration Class of 2026 graduate, Ken Asong, reflected on the people who helped shape his journey, from professors and academic coaches to classmates, staff, family, and friends.

At , our mission is rooted in creating opportunity and helping students realize what’s possible through practical education. Ken’s story is a reminder that success isn’t linear; it’s built through perseverance and people who believe in your potential. 🩶

Ken’s journey doesn’t end at graduation. He plans to join the Air National Guard, pursuing a path in aviation management and continuing his education toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Today, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology celebrated the groundbreaking of Stevens Hall and the Michael C. Mylott Dining Hall, new spaces that will support students throughout their educational journey and expand opportunities for those pursuing hands-on, life-changing careers.🪏

The new four-story residence and dining facility will expand housing for 150 students on our Main Campus while creating spaces that strengthen campus community and enhance the student experience.

At , advancing our mission means creating spaces where students can thrive. We don’t simply focus on opening doors to opportunity, we ensure students have supports to continue overcoming barriers and preparing for a thriving future.
