Hi Everyone!! If you planned on attending the CVHS class of 2001 reunion, please check your email for an important update.
Like all of you, we were hoping the virus situation would be very different by now, and a number of classmates have reached out regarding concerns, particularly with cases on the rise again and children not yet able to be vaccinated.
We understand that there are so many individual views on this issue, but since we hope to have as many of our classmates attend the reunion events as possible, we're going to err on the side of caution and push the reunion to the spring, when (hopefully) everyone can feel comfortable being together.
We are so sorry to change plans, but we look forward to seeing everyone in 2022! The format will likely be the exact same (East Lampeter Park in the morning and Tellus 360 in the evening), just on a different TBD date. Stay tuned and watch your email! If you aren’t receiving email updates, please comment below and we will reach out. 🙂
In the meantime, please continue to send bios and photos for the digital doc to Laura by September 30! She will send out the digital doc in early October. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Happy Fall—and we can’t wait to see you all soon!

CV Class of 2001,
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 9! Thank you for your feedback on the initial survey. We’re so grateful to Good Luttrell for getting the planning of this done for our class! She tried to take as many of your fabulous ideas/requests as possible and combine them into one low-key, low-cost day of fun. It’s a two-parter, and you can choose whether you want to attend one or both parts. Here’s the plan…
Part 1: 10am at East Lampeter Park ~ featuring all the kids and chaos!
We have a pavilion rented for the day, so come earlier if you’d like and stay as long as you’d like… or until your kids need to nap. BYO snacks and beverages for your family. In the event of rain, we’ll get cozy in the pavilion and/or play in the rain!
Part 2: 7pm on the Rooftop Garden at Tellus 360 ~ adults only!
Laura spoke with a manager, who said we can’t rent the entire roof garden (nor is that in our nonexistent budget), but she recommended arriving by 7pm and claiming a section of the very large roof. In the event of rain, there are additional floors where we can convene.
Part 3 (Bonus!): Where Are They Now?
Email Laura a brief paragraph sharing what you’ve been up to for the past two decades, along with a photo of yourself or your family. If you don’t have her email, feel free to send a private FB message to Lindsey Elias and she can connect you. Laura plans to take all the paragraphs and photos and organize them into one digital doc to share with everyone! Isn’t that amazing!?! Even if you can’t make the in-person festivities, please feel free to share a life update.
There is no charge for this day of festivities, aside from whatever you personally choose to spend at the bar at Tellus. However, if you’re feeling so inclined, Laura is hoping to collect at least $5 from each alum on October 9th to donate toward a local charitable organization. Charitable suggestions are welcomed in the comments below!
If you plan on attending and haven’t done so already, please take a moment to RSVP at this link: https://forms.gle/eWXBQAkFHmB3iHTg6

Conestoga Valley Class of 2001 Reunion
This year marks 20 years since we graduated high school! There has been some interest in a low-key reunion this fall, perhaps outdoors at East Lampeter Park. With any luck, we'll hopefully be vaccinated by then, and the world will have vaguely returned to some sense of normalcy... although we can pl...

Brittany’s December update is here. Please consider donating to help with the incredible costs of her new chemo treatments as she continues to fight this battle with SO much inspiring strength. Even a $5 donation from several people who care will go SUCH a long way. Thank you in advance! ❤️
UPDATE:
Brittany started a new chemotherapy series mid-November and it’s been very difficult. The side effects have been overwhelming and hard to manage. At the end of October, doctors told her that she had a very poor prognosis. A combination chemotherapy treatment was presented to them, as it showed great promise during clinical trials, and they were encouraged to try it, even though it’s a very costly treatment series. It’s been such a struggle. It has exhausted Brittany and her family in every way possible.
Earlier this week, it was discovered that she is exhibiting signs of pneumonia and has fluid surrounding her lungs. This has changed the course of treatment a bit, which will, of course, add extra medical expenses to their already overwhelming situation.
The series is to be completed at the beginning of March 2020, at which point, more testing and biopsies will be done to assess progress. After the results are reviewed, another 16 week series will begin, lasting into mid-summer.
If things go as predicted, this series has about an 80% chance of inducing remission. That’s something that doctors didn’t think would be a possibility for her a few months ago.
It’s going to be a very steep uphill battle, but with the help and support of family and friends, we feel it’s possible, and we’re hopeful for a positive outcome.
