Campers in our Super Art camp last week learned about various artists, then used their artwork as inspiration to create their own pieces! Check out some of the neat work they produced!🎨

Week one of summer camps is done! Campers in our Lego Robotics camp learned about NASA & some of their space missions, constructed their own robots, and coded them to accomplish various missions to the moon and Mars. Some of their missions included picking up an astronaut from a lunar base, retrieving a rover stuck in a crater on Mars, placing a satellite dish on a specified target, and more! To sum it up, campers had a blast working with robots, rockets, and satellites!

Our first open library of the summer is in the books! On Tuesday, Mrs. Zook read “Chez Bob” by Bob Shea and helped her students create chef hats to wear proudly as they heard how Bob the lazy alligator opened a restaurant on his snout with plans to eat the birds that came to dine. They also read “Ice Cream Man” and learned the true story of Augustus Jackson and how his work at the White House led him to invent a faster way to make ice cream, making it more accessible for everyone to enjoy (thank the Lord for Augustus!) Afterwards, they colored ice cream pages and took home their own recipe for making simple ice cream in a bag. What a fun morning it was!
Join us next Thursday morning, June 18, for our next adventure in the library!📚🍦

Congratulations to our Teachers of the Year, Mr. Yoder and Miss Baksa!! We have so many amazing teachers in our school, and these two have gone above and beyond to help our students learn and grow. Mr. Yoder teaches middle & upper school Spanish, and Miss Baksa (a first-year teacher) teaches fourth grade ELA, social studies, and Bible.
Congratulations also to our annual Thumbsies winners on earning awards as well. Thank you all for striving for excellence, for loving others well, for serving our school, and for living out your faith. You all are so appreciated, and we are blessed to have you on our team.
