A special thank you to VF - East Coast Distribution Center for their continued support of our students and our mission!
Through their sponsorship, we were able to celebrate the accomplishments of our High School Equivalency and Workforce Preparation class graduates, as well as recognize the achievements of our English Language Learners during our year-end celebrations.
Community partnerships like these help us educate and inspire lifelong learners, build meaningful connections, and transform lives through learning opportunities.
Interested in making an impact? If you or your organization would like to support adult education and learner success, we'd love to connect with you about future sponsorship opportunities.

IU13 Community Education instructor, Gedion Carido, supported his 48 daytime and evening English language learning students in writing letters to their state elected officials. The students, who wrote about the benefits of adult education classes, learned about their state senator and representative and practiced their English through this writing exercise. The letters went out in the mail last week. Talk about civic engagement!

Family Literacy instructor, Heidi Torrens, provided a lesson for ESL parents and their children on butterflies, observing the process from caterpillar to the chrysalis to the butterfly . On Thursday, Heidi's students and other staff members joined her in releasing the butterflies into the courtyard at the Burle building. The Family Literacy program lives out the belief that parents are the first and most important teacher for their children.
