A-FIT has officially kicked off at Tread House, our scholars and staff are putting in hard work to elevate their fitness and focus.💪🏽🧠
The bad news: team projects don’t end after high school or college.
The good news? Being easy to work with matters more than being the smartest person in the room. Every project she has been part of, the person people wanted around was the one who showed up with a good attitude.
Get good at being a teammate now because it’s a skill you’ll use for life!

Andrea Shirk says stop trying to name the job. Start asking what you love and what you’re good at.
She has worked with massive budgets and tiny ones, with military contractors and live entertainment performers. Every experience taught her something about herself and made her better at whatever came next.

Andrea Shirk grew up in a household of three women who fixed everything themselves and figured it out together.
As a first-generation college student, she took the opportunity seriously, knowing what it took for her mom to make it happen. That sense of investment, and wanting to give back to the people who believed in her, shaped how she has moved through life ever since.
Gratitude and grit go hand in hand.
