After all the times I've asked the Women in Student Conduct group for advice it was awesome to have a chance to pay it back at today's webinar "Restorative Justice and Student Organizations." At one point we had 57 people in the Zoom! Thanks ASCA Women and Student Conduct!!!

The students and faculty on the Committee on Student Conduct are thoughtful, intellectual and unafraid to talk about difficult topics. We invite the rest of the campus to hear about how decisions get made.

Nice to see Franklin & Marshall College getting recognition for the great work it does. Great job to Tom Simpson and his crew. Everyone should get out and enjoy the city and keep the carbon footprint small this spring.

Heading to Baltimore this weekend for my first NGLA (Northeast Greek Leadership Association) conference. I'm incredibly proud of the restorative justice work that's part of a big culture change on campus and I hope other schools could consider a similar move for long-lasting impact.

It's all about the culture of integrity...which probably also means promoting the notion that it's okay to fail -- and that there is support for everyone (not just students) who fails. Amy Mulnix, this looks like something you'd appreciate.

Is cheating a problem at your college? Spoiler alert: it is David Rettinger and Kate McConnell offer five ways colleges and universities can promote academic integrity not as a bludgeon to punish students but as a set of educationally necessary actions that lead to authentic learning.

Gray Matter has launched for the 2021-22 academic year. Our first topic "Am I a Fraud?" explored imposter syndrome in our community. Thanks for our new home, Brooks College House (F&M) !

Gray Matter is a discussion series that promotes critical exploration of provocative topics related to higher education and the F&M community. Gray Matter is a conversation. No presentations, no hierarchy, no homework. Different viewpoints are not only welcome, but necessary.

On Tuesday, we kick off the new year and we wanted you to see the full slate of conversations. Light refreshments will be served, compliments of Brooks College House (F&M).
