Underclass Photo Day will be held on Wednesday, August 26, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. in the gym. Students in grades 9–11 will have the opportunity to have their school photograph taken during this time.

These photographs are important because they are used for student identification purposes and, most importantly, for inclusion in this year's school yearbook. We encourage you to be present and prepared for your photograph on August 26.

Additional information regarding photo day has been shared with you via a flyer.

Upcoming Yearbook Photo Information
As we begin another school year, we want to make sure all families are aware of several important upcoming dates related to student photographs and the yearbook.

Underclass Photo Day – August 28
Underclass Photo Day will be held on Friday, August 28, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. in the gym. Students in grades 9–11 will have the opportunity to have their school photograph taken during this time.

These photographs are important because they are used for student identification purposes and, most importantly, for inclusion in this year's school yearbook. We encourage families to make sure students are present and prepared for their photograph on August 28.

Additional information regarding photo day has been shared with students via a flyer.

Senior Portraits – Class of 2027
Senior portraits are handled separately from underclass photographs. Seniors must have their portrait taken through Cady, our professional yearbook photographer, in order to have an official senior portrait included in the yearbook.

We have already hosted two Senior Roadshows at Indian Land High School to provide seniors with convenient opportunities to complete their portraits. There will be one final Senior Roadshow on campus on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Appointments are required for the October 27 Senior Roadshow, so families are encouraged to schedule as soon as possible. Seniors do not need to wait until the October Roadshow and may also schedule a portrait session directly with Cady prior to that date.

Families should not wait until the last minute to complete senior portraits. Completing the portrait early helps ensure that the student's photograph is received and available for inclusion in the senior section of the yearbook.

Our district is offering senior students a valuable opportunity to take either the SAT or ACT this fall, at no cost to families. This opportunity is open to all seniors, including those taking the test for the first time or those who wish to improve a previous score. Please note, students may register for only one of the two tests.

The SAT will be administered on Thursday, October 1st, and the ACT will be administered on Tuesday, October 13th, both during the regular school day at Indian Land High School.

If you would like to participate, please complete the sign up sent to your student email by August 18th. Due to strict test ordering policies set by the College Board and ACT, this deadline cannot be extended.

Attention Class of 2027 Families! Join us for a Senior Pre-IGP Workshop to ensure your senior is fully on track to graduate and prepared for life after high school.
What is an IGP? In South Carolina, an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) is a state-mandated annual planning conference between a student, their parents/guardians, and their school counselor. The IGP maps out required high school courses, aligns graduation requirements with career goals, and helps students plan for post-secondary options—whether that's college, military service, trade certification, or entering the workforce directly.
Pre-IGP Workshop Options: To help you get the most out of your upcoming IGP session, we are offering three workshop options so you can choose the format and time that works best for your schedule:
Wednesday, August 12 @ 6:00 PM – ILHS Auditorium
Thursday, August 13 @ 12:00 PM – ILHS Auditorium
Thursday, August 13 @ 7:00 PM – Live Webinar (Join Google Meet Webinar)
Scheduling Your Student's Mandatory IGP Meeting: Be on the lookout for a separate email coming soon from your student’s assigned caseload counselor. That email will include calendar links so you and your student can select an individual IGP meeting time between August 17 and September 4.
We strongly encourage all senior families to attend one of the workshop sessions to help set your student up for a successful senior year and beyond!
