Half Pint Day Care

Last week, we learned why farming is so important to us, what it takes to run a farm, and how to take care of the animals that provide us with food and clothing. 🚜👩🏽‍🌾🌾

As a special treat, one of our parents, Miss Caety, brought in a duck and chickens for the preschoolers to meet. They had such a blast taking turns petting and feeding the animals! We are all excited to see these and other farm animals at the 4H Fair this week! 🐓🐄

Last week, we discussed birds, both BIG and small. Although they all have a beak and wings, not all birds can fly! Some birds can live in very cold climates, while others need very warm climates! 🦆🦩🦜🦉🪿

Last week, our preschoolers learned the difference between the sandy beach and the deep blue ocean; and discussed what vegetation and animals they'll find on land and in the sea! 🏖️🌊

Space week was a blast! 🚀🌑🪐💫🔭🌎

Last week, we embarked on an exciting adventure! We explored the wonders of camping and the essential safety measures to keep in mind when venturing outdoors, including the importance of fire safety! 🏕️🪵🔥

Last week the preschoolers learned all about fishing!🎣 We discussed the different types of fishing you can do, and how some fish live in fresh water, and others live in salt water! 🌊🐠

A is for America! 🇺🇸 The preschoolers celebrated the 4th of July and learned that the American flag is a symbol of freedom, unity, and national pride. ❤️🤍💙

Last week, we soaked up the sunshine and celebrated summer ☀️ The preschoolers reviewed the four seasons and discussed what makes summer different from the other seasons!

The preschool had a visit from the reigning New Jersey State Dairy Princess and Hunterdon County Dairy Princess, Dakota Harley Meys! 👸🏼 She graciously read the preschoolers The Great Milk Comeback, a story she wrote (and illustrated) about the importance of milk, which is full of vitamins and minerals to help build strong bones. 🐮🥛 After answering the many questions the preschoolers had, Dakota handed out ice cream for everyone to enjoy!🍦
