On Friday, July 17, 2026, the South Hunterdon Regional Board of Education officially closed on the sale of the West Amwell School. The district received net proceeds of $1,035,636.51 from the sale after closing costs.

As the Board has shared throughout this process, its intention is to use these proceeds to pay down debt associated with the 2021 referendum, helping to reduce the district's long-term financial obligations and provide a positive benefit to taxpayers.

The Board will share additional details in the coming months regarding the debt reduction process and its anticipated impact.
