Welcome to Noël aux Châteaux — An Exclusive Holiday Journey Through the Heart of the Loire Valley!

Join me and Coral Miles, Oxford‑educated historian, for a carefully curated Christmas journey through the Loire Valley. This small‑group itinerary combines the region’s most important châteaux with seasonal experiences, local gastronomy, and comfortable accommodation at the family‑run Les Jardins Haute Couture.

- Hands-on cooking workshops with Coral & Shelley (one of which will be focused on truffles, using those we will have collected together earlier in the week!).

Happy New Year!

The perfect way to warm up these cold winter days is with a home cooked meal and good company. There are new classes available for January & February at Shelley’s Table to do just that!

Elegant Home Cooking, Russian Style (caviar and blinis, anyone?) is scheduled for Friday, January 23rd and French Techniques ~ Veal Stock (a foundational recipe for soups, stews and sauces, where we will also be cooking French Onion Soup and Boeuf Bourguignon) will take place on Friday, January 30th.

We have moved our Kids (ages 8-12) Mac n Cheese and more to Sunday morning, February 15th. Leave your kids in class and go hang out in Lambertville or New Hope!

Finally, it is not too early to plan a special Valentine’s Day date with your sweetie: Valentine's Day, Couples Cooking class is live! We will make three easy but elegant courses which you will sit down to enjoy as the evening continues in the dining room.

Good News: We have waived the single supplement fee for our Gascony culinary trip! We are taking over the entire Chateau with 10 rooms, lots of outdoor space with a bar and a pool.

Kathleen is known for her environmentally conscious approach to the creation of fine art prints on paper and eco-printing on textiles. She owns and operates the organic imprint studio, The Wearable Garden, and will have new designs of her eco-printed silk scarves available.

Working with unusual, ethically sourced natural stones and gems, silver and gold, Hollis practices a playful design process to hand-fabricate each piece she makes. Attracted to the beauty as well as the vibe of every stone she chooses, each piece tells a story in which the inspiration and craftsmanship is all part of how it evolves.

In addition to these artists showcasing their unique designs, Shelley will be selling fine china demitasse (espresso) cups and saucers, and more.

Travel to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2026!

Our mornings will be centred on visiting local artisan or cottage industries, such as rug weavers, potters, or cheese makers.

In the afternoons we will head out to Seasons of my Heart for hands-on cooking classes. We will cook 6 traditional Oaxacan dishes and after that we will enjoy the fruits of our labour each evening for dinner.

Other days we will visit artists’ studios and hear them discuss their projects, and have an opportunity to buy their work.

Each cooking class will build off the last to expand our culinary expertise. We will have evenings free to explore the city.
