Lamar Community College Nursing Program If you have passion for helping others and a desire to make a difference, you might want to consider a career in nursing. licensure exam (NCLEX-RN).

www.lamarcc.edu/nursing for more information. The LCC Nursing Program is offered in a full time format on the LCC campus. With only a Fall Admission Cycle, it begins in August and ends in May. It is an Associate Degree program comprised of two levels. Level I is the first year of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Students have the option to sit for the PN licensure exam (NCLEX-PN) upon the successful completion of Level I. Level II is the second year of the program. Students who have completed Level I may go directly on to Level II. Level II is also open to L.P.N.’s seeking an Associate Degree in Nursing and transfer students. Level II completers are awarded an A.A.S. Degree in Nursing and qualify to sit for the R.N. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), LCC's Nursing Program is an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree with an option for students to test for an Practical Nursing Licensure (or re-enter the program as an LPN to RN). Graduates are eligible to test for Registered Nurse licensure. LCC's Nursing program is fully approved by the Colorado State Board of Nursing and the Colorado Community College System.

Members of Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary spent time on campus with Scholarship recipients and toured the simulation and lab spaces. The Auxiliary has supported LCC students in their final year of RN school for many years and we are so thankful for their support. The members enjoyed speaking with students, hearing their experiences, and learning more about nursing education at LCC.
