The welding students at LCC had the opportunity to show their skills to some SpaceX recruiters today.
This opportunity has opened up a potential direct pipeline for the welding students at LCC to pursue a welding career at starbase down in south Texas.
Starbase is a 1.5 million square foot facility where the production of the starship is being done.
This starbase facility is looking to hire 200+ tig welders, specializing in stainless steel, by the end of 2025 and intend to hire another 1000 welders next year. Starting pay for a level 1 welder will be $70,000. There are 5 levels that can be achieved through hard work, dedication, employability, great attitudes, welding skills, and more.
