Heather isn't a TAHB student—but here's why I'm sharing her story.

Heather is an **adult student musician, music teacher, local band director, busy mom, and black belt!** 🥋🎶

Like so many kids, Heather started her musical journey in school band on the clarinet. But she didn't stop there.

She loves music, and that passion has continued to grow throughout her life. Today, as an adult, Heather continues to study **jazz, saxophone, and drums.** She's still learning, still growing, and still challenging herself musically. And she's a regular part of our events, always showing up, participating, and doing great work!

And that's exactly why I love sharing stories like Heather's.

**Music isn't just for kids. And music isn't only for people who want to become professional musicians.**

Heather is first and foremost a mom. But she's also a teacher, a musician, a black belt, a community leader—and a lifelong learner who still gets excited about growing as a musician.

That's what music can become: **a lifelong part of who you are.**

So when you see your child learning an instrument, don't just imagine the musician they might become someday.

Imagine the **person** they might become.

Imagine the confidence, discipline, creativity, friendships, opportunities, and lifelong passion that music might bring.

We already have **16 students signed up for Guitar 1 this fall** — and we can still take more! 🙌

We registered a few more today! All the teachers are super excited And we can't wait! It's just a few weeks away! There's still time, but we will have to close out registration for most classes within a week or two of starting! Kim will allow registration for the choir through the month of September though. So tell your friends now is the time to get in!
