Every day, our teachers walk into classrooms carrying far more than lesson plans. They celebrate victories that no one else sees. They pray with students who are carrying heavy burdens. They encourage, challenge, listen, and remind young people that they are deeply loved by God.

Please join us to experience "Step Into the Story," an evening designed to bring you closer to the heart of the Denver Street School than ever before. Many THANKS to Savills Inc., a commercial real estate company located in Downtown Denver, for donating a wide variety of school supplies to DSS. Savills' employees collected these supplies as part of the company's nationwide community engagement initiative. They feel strongly about equipping students and teachers with essential supplies for a successful start to the school year. Thank you Gigi and Kelsey for dropping off four large boxes of supplies today and touring the school. We appreciate you and all the Savills' employees who contributed to this drive and blessed our school! 💜💜💜

UPDATE for students and families: The first day of school has been moved from Monday, August 17 to Wednesday, August 19. Enjoy a couple additional days of summer break. We look forward to seeing and welcoming you back on the 19th! 😀

Where has the summer gone?! The first day of school is less than a month away and preparations are underway to welcome students back on August 17.

Nutrition is an important part of feeding the brain so that it can concentrate and learn. For the last several years, this amazing neighborhood group of women has helped to fill our pantry, fridge, and freezer so that students can have breakfast, lunch, and snacks when needed. Yesterday, Ms. Kelly made the first delivery to kick off the new school year. THANK YOU so much, ladies! 🤩💜🤩

We have additional individuals who help keep the school stocked throughout the year as well. If providing food and snacks is something that interests you, please reach out to Shannon at [email protected]. 😃

Many thanks to this hard-working crew, including a DSS Alum, from Foothills Bible Church. They came out this past Saturday to lend several hands to our summer building improvement projects. They cleaned and organized the student lounge and fridge, organized a packed storage room, and continued work on the large painting project that started a couple weekends ago. Great progress is being made toward having the building ready for the new school year. You are all superstars and we can't thank you enough! 🤩💜🤩

Note: No volunteers were harmed by the skeleton in the Science room! 🤣

🎉CONGRATULATIONS🎉 to Cheyanne and Nehemiah, 2026 grads and each a recipient of an Edward O. Kellner, Jr. Scholarship. Cheyanne will be working toward a Pharmacy Tech certification and Nehemiah's interests lie in engineering. We have no doubt they will do well in their pursuits!

THANK YOU to the Kellner Family for making these academic scholarships available to DSS students. Your support of the DSS mission and investment in our graduates' continued education is an incredible BLESSING! 💜💜💜

So THANKFUL for our COMMUNITY PARTNERS! During its summer Love Our City initiative, Red Rocks Church sent over an amazing team that included individuals, families, and friends who rolled up their sleeves to clean, organize, and paint different areas of DSS. It was much needed and much appreciated! I don't know who organized the resource room, but WOW...just WOW! Thank you all for blessing DSS with your hard work and JOY! 💜💜💜

THANK YOU Denver Broncos Alumni for naming Denver Street School one of the two beneficiaries of your annual Charity golf tournament. We are extremely grateful for the invitation to attend Sunday evening’s gala as well as spend the following day on the golf course. Each was an amazing opportunity to share the story of the Denver Street School and our mission with guests and participants.
