Colorado Kids Academy Colorado Kids Academy is a preschool that serves the Highlands, Sloans Lake, Edgewater, Wheat Ridge, Applewood and Lakewood areas.

At Colorado Kid’s Academy we believe in children. We recognize and respect every child as a unique individual and learner. We provide an environment with opportunities for children to explore their strengths and interests, learn more about who they are as learners, community members and overall people. Our curriculum supports the wonder of children and allows time for exploration, discovery and in

quiry. Children have the freedom and opportunities to be little and get messy in our child-centered (discovery based) school. We are fortunate to have two teachers with over 20 combined years of kindergarten and elementary teaching experience. Both Mara and Leah have spent years learning about what works best for children and discovering ways they can foster and support children’s intrinsic joy, curiosity and sense of wonder. Their balanced Back To Basic approach blends the IB curriculum, Colorado State Standards and various child-centered pedagogy (Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Montessori). The curriculum they developed for CKA is geared to help children meeting the needs of the whole child- academic, social and emotional skills children will need to be successful throughout their schooling as well as their lives.
