For quite a while now I have been turned off by the so-called "seeker-friendly" or "seeker-sensitive" movement. In one of the churches we attended, the pastor must have attended a conference or something and came back with this wild idea of enlarging the sanctuary, hiring top musicians, and giving "fluffy." but not effectual sermons. What a disappointing thing that was. I think that J.D. Rucker sums up this 30-year period nicely. It's failing our children, and it's failing us. There's no meat there, just milk.
