Calvary Academy

We want to congratulate William Troy for being selected by the NCSAA for the Servant Leadership Award. This Award is given to one senior who exemplified leadership by serving their teammates and opponents, displaying Christlike character in their competition, and interacting with others with a deep commitment to building them up.

William follows his sister Julianna Troy, who received this award last year and Caiden Young who received this award the prior year.

William Troy – 2025-2026 Winner - William has been a part of Calvary Athletics since 5th grade. He has played soccer & basketball every year. He played a year of flag football, a year of volleyball and multiple years of baseball. His Coaches have described him as being a hard worker, dedicated, relentless - does not give up, coachable and most importantly maintains his Christian character. He has won many awards throughout the years and he will be missed by the teams, coaches and Calvary staff. As the Athletic Director of Calvary Academy and his Father, I am proud of him receiving this award. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for him next!

Julianna Troy – 2024-2025 Winner - Julianna has been a Team Captain since Middle School. Over the years she found her voice and her ability to lead the team on the court. She has played volleyball every year since 6th grade, each year pushing herself as a player and pushing her team as a Captain. In the last 2 years she found her voice more and rallied the team when we needed it. Her actions off the court are also part of the reason she is deserving of this Award. She has taken her teachers assistant role above and beyond what she was asked to do and show the next generation of student athletes proper guidance and leadership. I am proud of her as her Coach, Athletic Director and most importantly her Father.

Caiden Young – 2023-2024 Winner - While we feel we have several strong applicants for this award, we have selected Caiden Young. Caiden has played for Calvary Academy throughout Middle School and High School. He is an amazing athlete that has an amazing highlight reel in every sport he played. But most importantly, he never once talked back to a ref, coach or teammate. He has remained modest, remained encouraging to his team, and remained an excellent role model and has always been able to lead by example. Caiden is a respectful young man that despite many challenges this year, kept his faith above everything else. All of us are lucky to have had the opportunity to have him at Calvary Academy. We wish him well as he goes on to play soccer at Cairn University.

Time is critical. Chale has been accepted by the Cleveland Clinic, but she cannot get there until the $33,500 medical transport bill is paid.

Our dear friend Chale Ashley urgently needs a life-saving surgery that can only be performed after she is transferred from her New Jersey hospital to the Cleveland Clinic, where a bed is already waiting for her.

The devastating obstacle is that her insurance will not cover the medical transport, which costs $33,500. This amount must be paid in full before she can be transferred to receive the care that could save her life.

Chale is already facing overwhelming medical expenses, and this unexpected cost is simply beyond what she and her family can manage alone.

If you are able, would you please consider making a contribution to help cover the cost of her transport and all of her outstanding medical bills? Every gift, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to receiving the life-saving treatment she urgently needs, but none if it will happen if she is not able to be medically transported immediately.

We recently received the NCSAA Winter Awards. Congrats to Jillian Janoski and Kieran Riccobono for making the NCSAA Northeast Super Regional Team for Basketball.
