What an incredible Student Government election season at Calvary Academy! 🇺🇸
We are so proud of every student who stepped up and ran to serve their school this year. From our class representative candidates to our presidential and vice presidential candidates, our students put themselves out there, shared their ideas, participated in speeches and debates, and experienced the election process firsthand.
This year’s election was especially exciting! After an incredibly close initial vote, no presidential candidate received the required majority, sending the election to a contingent election. Our newly elected class representatives selected the Vice President, while our faculty and staff selected the President from the top three candidates… and even those final votes were incredibly close!
Congratulations to Micah Schwartz, our newly elected Student Body President, and Sophia Spagnuolo, our newly elected Student Body Vice President!
But most importantly, congratulations to everyone who ran. Leadership isn’t just about winning an election… it’s about having the courage and willingness to step forward and serve others.
As Jesus reminds us:
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” - Matthew 20:26
We couldn’t be prouder of our students, and we are so excited to see how this new Student Government serves our school this year!
