Very proud of our Lakewood Dojo team that performed brilliantly at the 55th annual Washington Karate Association Championships last weekend.
You all competed with passion, grit, and fierceness!
We earned 67 medals including:
19 gold
18 silver
30 bronze

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped with our annual dojo spring cleaning!
On Friday, we tackled the inside—scrubbing, organizing, and giving everything a deep refresh. Then on Saturday, we moved outside to clean up, trim, and beautify the grounds.

Your dedication, teamwork, and dojo pride were on full display, and we couldn’t be more grateful. The dojo looks fantastic, and it’s all thanks to the amazing support of our karate family.

This kind of effort is what keeps our community strong and our space welcoming. Thank you again to everyone who showed up and gave their time and energy!

Congratulations are in order for WKLD's Jaxson Lovelle and Dean Askanas, who competed at last weekend's North American Cup in Las Vegas, where they both delivered impressive performances. Jaxson secured two gold medals in kumite, while Dean earned a Bronze medal in kumite. Nice work!
