Game-changing professional learning and development for
educators, by educators

MindSpark is a nonprofit dedicated to evolving the craft of teaching to better engage students, and prepare them to thrive in the modern workforce and beyond. We know that amazing innovation in education is taking place in pockets across the country. As a whole, however, we believe the education system has not adapte

d to the times, and therefore cannot adequately prepare all students for what lies ahead. We provide highly-engaging professional learning and development throughout the country, in the three areas most relevant to education today: knowing your learner, instructional practices, and creative and digital experiences. Our learning experiences are developed for educators, by educators, with a focus on pedagogy as well as implementation. Programs are developed and facilitated by exceptional educators from around the country.

Colorado educators! Before the school year gets completely packed, set aside one day to build something special to use in your classroom.

On September 12, MindSpark is hosting a free, full-day Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Institute at CSU SPUR in Denver. You’ll work alongside other educators to design a classroom-ready PBL unit around water scarcity, a real Colorado challenge that gives students an authentic problem to investigate and solve.

Recertification credit and continued coaching support are available, plus breakfast and lunch are included.

Before smartboards, Chromebooks and AI, there were overhead projectors, VHS tapes, computer labs and a whole lot of dry-erase markers.

We asked the MindSpark team what they remember (and maybe miss) about classrooms in the ’90s. Here’s what they came up with.

What did we miss? What would you add?

When was the last time you actually looked at the data from your program and asked: is this working?
Not skimmed a report between meetings, but really looked — at your student pathway data, your outcomes, the gaps you suspect are there but haven't had time to confirm.

The Workforce Education Accelerator builds that time in. This fall's cohort includes dedicated sessions around data, including gathering it, making sense of it, and using it to understand whether your career-connected learning programs are actually moving students toward a future in the workforce.

Four virtual sessions. Four Tuesday evenings. Colorado K–12 leaders at every stage of this work.

Hey, teacher.

You’re ready to go. You bought the supplies. You rearranged the furniture three times until it felt right. You thought about your students over the summer. Not because anyone asked you to, but because that's just who you are.

You’re going to make a difference this year. In big ways, small ways, and probably a few ways you won't even realize.

MindSpark sees you. We're grateful you exist. Now go have the best year yet.

We're rooting for you.

Colorado educators, this one is worth your Saturday.

On September 12th, MindSpark is hosting a free Problem-Based Learning Institute at CSU SPUR. You'll spend the day learning how to design a classroom-ready PBL unit centered on water scarcity, a real, local problem your students can actually sink their teeth into.

Here's what you walk away with:

✅ A PBL unit ready to use Monday morning
✅ Practical strategies and implementation resources
✅ Recertification credit (with continued coaching support)
✅ A full day of breakfast, lunch, and peer collaboration — at no cost

And it doesn't stop when the day ends. Coaching is available afterward to help you implement, apply for grants, and bring PBL to life in your specific classroom.

Most educators use Google Search every day. What many don't realize is how much it can do now.

Google AI Mode and Lens, built right into Search, let educators turn any page into a brainstorming space, ask instant follow-up questions, and build lessons while they're exploring ideas. No new platforms. No new logins. Just a dramatically better version of the tool they already use every day.

Meet LEA with Google is a free 45-minute session that helps educators discover practical ways to use these tools in their work.

When was the last time you had dedicated time, not squeezed between meetings, not after the day's fires were out, to actually look at your data and ask: are our students finding their way from school to a career?

The Workforce Education Accelerator is that time.

Four virtual sessions this fall, designed for Colorado K–12 leaders at every stage of career-connected learning. Whether you're just starting to build the systems or have strong CTE programs in place and are asking sharper questions, there's a track for you.

Grounded in Governor Polis' priorities around talent development and economic mobility. It's a low lift — four sessions, every second Tuesday, 4:30–6:30pm.

The Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program’s Cohort 15 fellows had two minutes to make a room of experts care about work that wasn't finished yet.

That room was filled with the Buell Early Childhood Leaders Network, and this was the earliest a cohort has ever met their own alumni before graduating. One line from that day says more than we could: if you can say it clearly, you can sell it boldly.

What if your next professional development day was spent walking a LEED Platinum campus built to be a living classroom?

On September 12th, MindSpark is hosting a free Problem-Based Learning Institute at CSU Spur in Denver, and the campus itself is part of the lesson.

We're talking agrivoltaics (crops and solar panels sharing the same square footage), leading researchers you can actually watch at work, and a real-world problem that affects every community in Colorado: water scarcity.

You'll leave with a classroom-ready PBL unit, practical strategies, and a plan you can actually use. Plus, the option to earn recertification credit.
