In addition to our “Wigs for Warriors” fundraiser, two staff members, Mr. Pinedo and Mr. Castaneda, offered to have their heads shaven to stand in solidarity with cancer warriors who have lost their hair due to treatment. To raise money, SJ’s Hearts of Hope club sold over $200 worth of raffle tickets and selected two students as the official barbers for the day.
Thank you to all who participated and big thank you to Mr. Pinedo and Mr. Castaneda for their admirable support to this wonderful cause.

Today, SJ’s Hearts of Hope hosted the "Wigs for Warriors" fundraiser. For a minimum donation of $5.00, SJ students, faculty, and staff wore wigs and hats in support of cancer patients and survivors.
Hearts of Hope, formerly known as the SJ American Cancer Society Club, is on a mission this year to raise $10,000 to support cancer research organizations, donate wigs for cancer patients, make care packages for pediatric cancer patients and their caretakers in the hospital, and more. As many of us have been personally affected by cancer, Hearts of Hope wants to help ease the burden for all those in need of love and support during and after their battles.
You can also show your support by donating and sharing the link below. Any amount helps change lives!
