For the 5th year in a row, Firefly will be hosting free sensory friendly holiday pictures for our families and the community! Join us on December 12th! So many of our families have never been able to go to the mall and get pictures with Santa due to the long lines, loud noises, bright lights, etc. We’ve made it possible for them to create these memories in a familiar and stress-free environment! Come volunteer and help make wonderful memories for our families! We will have 3 photo opportunities: Santa, Grinch, and Winter Wonderland.

On International Day of Sign Languages, we celebrate the many ways people connect, express themselves, build relationships and share who they are.

At Firefly, all modes of communication are valued and honored in order to build a more inclusive world.

Every year, Firefly board member Javier Soto climbs one of Colorado's 14ers in memory of his daughter, Sofia. This past Friday, he made the trek again, carrying her memory with every step.

Sofia's legacy lives on through the Sofia Isabel Fund for Firefly Autism, which continues to support the families we serve. Thank you, Javier, for honoring her in such a powerful way, and for all you do for our Firefly community.

🌱 We're so proud to share that PBS recently highlighted our Earl Lee Evans Sensory and Community Garden!

This outdoor classroom helps our learners build communication, coping, and behavior regulation skills through hands on activities like planting and harvesting. Designed with input from learners, staff, community members, and Skyscape Gardens, the garden also supports research into whether hands on food experiences can help learners feel more comfortable trying nutritious foods, with support from a horticultural therapist through Denver Urban Gardens.

Grateful to everyone who helped bring this space to life. 💛
