It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Units - whether you are celebrating all week with little things or have a dedicated day, you are honoring all that they do on and off campus, weekends, holiday, and school breaks. (Yes, even summer) Make sure, at the very least, to say thank you.

From all of us at the Thirty-Third District, thank you for being the "T" in PTA. Thank you for showing up for all students. Thank you for being a teacher.

Shining Stars: Celebrating Our Teachers During Teacher Appreciation Week Every year in May we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Learn the history and get ideas on how you can thank the teachers in your life.

It's Sunday morning, and the last workshops are starting now (8:30). Yesterday, we heard from Hardy Brown representing Footsteps to Freedom. Please take time to visit this exhibit in room 104 prior to the last general meeting. It is a wonderfully curated experience.

General Meeting 2 - at this years convention, our District has the largest number of delegates here - just under 160 leaders here to learn, network, and get ready for the new year. Thank you for making the time to be here, to be present.

General Session 1 - The guest speaker was Houston Kraft. He dubbed our group 🤣.
Houston generously gifted 200 books that he signed - did you get one?

California State PTA Convention is here! After checking in, head to the ribbon booth, then head to class. We have a dedicated section for ALL 33rd District attendees to sit together. Council folks, make sure your unit folks know to join us. Here's to a weekend of learning, networking, and recharging for the new year.

Enrollment in National PTA’s 2024-2025 School of Excellence program is now open! The School of Excellence program provides a framework for local PTAs and schools to identify and implement best practices through PTA's National Standards for Family-School Partnerships to strengthen family-school partnerships and enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students. Congratulations to Kathleen Balaban from Redondo Union High School for winning the Award of Excellence with her film "Metamorphosis" – AND – Haily Elias from Adams Middle School for winning the Award of Merit with her Music Composition "Beam of Hope". We are proud of you and all our Redondo 2023-24 Reflections participants for sharing your voice!
