Red Rocks HMRC Short-term counseling can be provided through Behavioral Health Services (BHS) located in the Red Ro

Life stresses may sometimes interfere with academic success. RRCC partners with Jefferson Center(JCMH) to provide behavioral health assessment, short-term counseling (up to 6 sessions per semester), and referral at no cost to its currently enrolled students. Services are now located within the Student Health and Counseling Center at the Lakewood and Arvada Campuses. The Peer Counseling Program (P*

P) is a component of the RRCC Behavioral Health Services (BHS). P*P interns and volunteers, referred to as Peer Coaches, are extensively and thoroughly trained in recognizing and describing mental health concerns and will assist their peers in locating appropriate resources both on and off campus. Peer Coaches can also provide a "listening ear," for their peers, assist with goal setting, and connect with other on campus resources (ex: tutoring, scholarship office, Office of Accessibility, etc).
