What a FUN-filled day at The Goddard School of Lakeway!

There was no shortage of excitement around our school today! We welcomed our first Bookmobile visit of the new school year, our Book Fair is officially in full swing, The Gym Station joined us for Flippers & Sports, and our Pre-K students headed out on their very first walking field trip!

Days like today are what make school so special. We’re incredibly thankful for all the opportunities we have to learn, explore, laugh, and make amazing memories with your kiddos.

Here’s to many more adventures this school year!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
