Calling all Hudson Bend Middle School parents & staff members - join us tomorrow evening for a fun night to connect, meet fellow Buc families, and kick off an amazing school year together!

Thursday, August 20 at 6:00 PM at Hops & Thyme in Lakeway.

Whether you’re new to HBMS or have been part of the Buccaneer family for years, this is a great opportunity to relax, mingle, and get to know the parents and staff who make our school community so special.

Students are encouraged to wear Lake Travis colors (red, black, and white) to show our support and stand alongside our friends at Lake Travis High School.

Ahoy, Buccaneers! The countdown to a new school year is on, and we cannot wait to welcome our students and families back to Hudson Bend Middle School on Monday, August 10th!

Incoming 6th graders are invited to kick off their middle school journey at Buc Games from 8:30 AM–11:00 AM. This fun, student-only orientation is a chance for our newest Buccaneers to meet classmates, connect with student leaders, learn campus expectations, tour the school, receive their IDs, and practice walking their schedules before the first day.

Buc Games is a drop-off event for incoming 6th graders only. Parents may drop students off at the front of the school and pick them up at dismissal.

Then, from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM, all Buccaneers and their families are invited to Hudson Bend Round-Up!

Round-Up is a come-and-go opportunity for students to walk their schedules, find classrooms, and get comfortable navigating campus before the first day. All grade levels are welcome!

Families can also stop by information tables to learn more about:
• PTO membership and volunteer opportunities
• Transportation and technology resources
• Athletics, clubs, and campus activities
• Skyward support and other back-to-school information

Please remember that Round-Up is not a drop-off event. Parents are encouraged to attend with their students as they explore campus together. Teachers will not be available during Round-Up, as they will be preparing their classrooms for the first day of school.

We are so excited to welcome our Buccaneers back and help everyone start the year feeling confident, connected, and ready for a great 2026–2027 school year!

Something exciting is coming for Hudson Bend Middle School!

We’re preparing to launch updated sponsorship opportunities with fresh perks, expanded visibility, and new ways to highlight the businesses and families who support our school community.

Hudson Bend Middle School serves approximately 700 students with a wide range of learning needs and experiences. Sponsorship support helps strengthen programs, staff resources, and student opportunities throughout the year.

100% of PTO funds stay at HBMS and are used to support initiatives identified by teachers and school administration. Past purchases have included Chromebooks, charging carts, flexible seating, science lab supplies, online learning subscriptions, and more—all directly benefiting students and classrooms.

Full sponsorship details will be shared soon, including updated levels and new benefits. And, with a full calendar of back-to-school events ahead, EARLY SPONSORS will receive the strongest and longest exposure of the year, beginning even before the school year kicks off!
