If you attended the Freetown Lakeville Regional School Committee Meeting or watched at home, you had the privilege of witnessing civic engagement at its finest. Wednesday's meeting was full to bursting with impassioned speeches from students, staff, committee members, and residents of the towns. Thank you to the many people who attended the meeting yesterday evening, and to all who have continued to support the future of education in our community, we commend you.

Thank you to all of our friends, colleagues, family, students, and FLRSD residents who came out last night to support the EAFL in its call for a level service budget and, ultimately, protection of education in our community. We had more than 120 people out there showing their commitment to the future of education in FreeLake.

We came together to support our students and one another, and no matter what happens, no one can take that away from us.

Going forward, we beseech you: Do the good thing. Do the hard thing. Do the right thing. Always, just do the damn thing.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the dozens of educators who came to the standout yesterday at the Freetown town meeting. Every building was represented as we stood in support of our students, our colleagues, and the future of education in this district. The citizens of Freetown who attended the meeting got to see who we are - dedicated, caring, compassionate professionals who are supporting the children of Freelake nation to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Friends, yesterday showed us that when the chips are down, the EAFL can rise to the occasion. We need you again on **Monday June 8th** to show the residents of Lakeville how much this community, their children, and our colleagues mean to us.

Bring your kids.
Bring your friends.
Stand together again, but this time in even greater numbers.
We counted 80 for the Freetown meeting. Let’s double that for Lakeville.

This post highlights one of the 56 staff reductions and/or position eliminations that would result if the override vote fails. In total, these cuts would impact approximately 20% of Freelake staff.
