The Salisbury Central School seeks a Regular Education Paraeducator/Teaching Assistant to support teachers and students in our Early Kindergarten through Grade 8 classrooms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Works with individuals, small groups, or classes of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
-Guides independent, enrichment, or remedial work under the supervision of the teacher or interventionist.
-Works at the request of the supervisor and/or teacher with individual students needing support.
-Assists students in Unified Arts classes when appropriate.
-Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom and office.
-Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and strict confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
-Participates in in-service training programs as needed or assigned.
-Responsibilities may include lunch and recess duties.
-Supports and promotes a positive and professional educational and work environment with students, colleagues, and parents.
-Strives to implement the District’s mission, goals, and objectives outlined in the District’s Strategic Plan.
-Maintain a safe and caring environment.
