Dear Lakeview Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! As the new principal of Lakeview High School and Daly Middle School, I am honored to join this incredible community and lead two schools with such rich traditions of academic excellence and community pride.

While I am new to the district, I am fortunate to partner with Vice Principal, Cody Blair. Though Cody is stepping into the vice principal role for the first time this year, he is a familiar face to the community and brings a deep understanding of Lakeview and Lake County. Together, we are committed to providing a safe, engaging, and challenging environment where every student can thrive.

We want to extend a HUGE congratulations to two of our very own LHS students, Saya Dunagan and Madison Wells!

Both young ladies earned 1st Place at the Oregon FFA State Level in their respective Proficiency Award areas and advanced to the National FFA level, an incredible accomplishment!

🌟 Madison Wells earned National FFA Silver in Dairy Production Entrepreneurship. Madison manages a small herd of dairy cattle, providing daily care, milking, health monitoring, and utilizing selective breeding to improve her herd's genetics.

🌟 Saya Dunagan earned National FFA Bronze in Veterinary Science Placement. Her project began as a job shadow at Lakeview Animal Hospital and grew into a paid placement where she gained hands-on experience in veterinary care, including appointments, anesthesia monitoring, and assisting with treatments.

So, what are FFA Proficiency Awards?
Proficiency Awards recognize FFA members who develop and apply real-world agricultural skills through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. Students document their experiences, skills, responsibilities, growth, and accomplishments, then compete against other FFA members at the local, state, and national levels.

These awards are highly competitive, making this recognition something to truly celebrate!

We are incredibly proud of Saya and Madison for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to their SAE projects and for representing Lakeview FFA, Lakeview High School, and our community at the highest level.

Congratulations, ladies! Your hard work is paying off, and we cannot wait to see where your agricultural journeys take you next!

Go Honkers! πŸ’™πŸ’›
