Montcalm Area Career Center former students, families, and friends - The Public Safety Program is doing scuba certification again this year! The American Dive Zone will be at the MACC on Wednesday, 10/14, for meetings at 9am & 12pm. We will have information on a Discover Scuba event (try it in the pool to see if you're interested,) this year's certification plan, and our trip to Cozumel, Mexico this summer! If you're interested in any of those things, come to a meeting or message me for more information. It's open to everyone, not just current students!

Good evening Lakeview Families! Just a reminder that tomorrow, October 7th, is our annual fall count day. Please make every effort for your student to be in attendance. If they must be absent, we are required to have an excuse in writing. Thank you for helping us make tomorrow go as smoothly as possible!

Attendance Matters! Let’s Work Together!
Consistent attendance is key to student success, and open communication with teachers can make all the difference! If your child is facing challenges getting to school, don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher. They can provide insights, support, and strategies to help keep your child engaged and on track.
Operation Graduation: Be Present. Be Powerful.

SENIORS! October is Michigan College Month, and many Michigan colleges are waiving or have eliminated application fees. Application fees typically run $40 to $70 per school, so this can add up if you're applying to several colleges. Applying early also helps with scholarship consideration and priority for housing and aid, so we encourage you to submit your applications by the end of October.

Student Government could not have asked for a better evening for the 2026 Air Force game.

Congratulations to the seniors for winning the event, with Juniors coming in second. The freshmen and sophomores ended in a tie for third place. It seems an unofficial rock, paper, scissors game moved the freshmen ahead at the end of the game.

Our 8th grade girls were amazing and will surely provide a threat to the juniors next year. Thank you for joining us this year.

Special thanks to Mr. Barton and Mr. Perez for refereeing all of the games. Thank you to Mr. King and Mr. Barnard for their help running the event. Finally, thank you to the staff who volunteered to play the 8th grade so they could join in the Air Force games.
