Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We unite in a common purpose to do whatever it takes to know God and to make Him known together.

Join us in praying for everyone affected by the devastating floods caused by a glacier collapse near the Nepal-China border on August 26, 2026. As of now, about 1,900 people are missing, and more than 500 people have died.
Please pray:

🙏🏼 For all those who are mourning the loss of a relative or friend, waiting or searching for loved ones who are missing, or who have lost their homes.
🙏🏼 For the authorities, rescuers, and helpers searching for survivors.
🙏🏼 For protection from disease and hunger.
🙏🏼 For Christian believers - for provision, hope, and God’s peace.
🙏🏼 For people to encounter God in the midst of devastation.

Be Visionary

The 5th foundational value in Youth With A Mission is ‘Be Visionary’:

YWAM is called to be visionary, continually receiving, nurturing and releasing fresh vision from God. We support the pioneering of new ministries and methods, always willing to be radical in order to be relevant to every generation, people group, and sphere of society. We believe that the apostolic call of YWAM requires the integration of spiritual eldership, freedom in the Spirit and relationship, centered on the Word of God.

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. Simon and those who were with him searched for him, 37and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. - Mark 1:35-39 (ESV)

Let us boast about how awesome God is!

Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” - Jeremiah 9:23-24 (ESV)

No matter how gifted a person is, no matter how much wealth, honor, or power they hold, no one can come to know God on their own. Knowing God is only possible because He chose to reveal Himself to us first.

Before the beginning of time, God already knew us, set us apart, and chose us (Proverbs 8:22; Ephesians 1:4; Jeremiah 1:5). And it’s worth remembering for the rest of our lives that He loved us first (1 John 4:19).

There will be seasons when our circumstances, our emotions, or the state of our hearts don’t line up the way we want. But when God chooses to reveal Himself, even in the middle of those seasons, we can still come to know Him, in any and every situation.

Right where you are today, the first step always begins with knowing God. If you haven’t opened His Word yet, if you haven’t prayed, if you haven’t reached out to share life with someone, if you haven’t taken a moment to rest, now is the time to draw near to Him. God is already revealing Himself, already speaking, and quietly waiting for you.

The fourth foundational value in Youth With A Mission is ‘Practice worship and intersession’:

YWAM is dedicated to worship God and engage in intercessory prayer as integral aspects of daily life. We also recognize the intent of Satan to destroy the work of God and we rely upon God’s empowering presence, the Holy Spirit, to overcome Satan’s strategies in the lives of individuals and in the affairs of nations.

The foundational value is based on many verses in the bible. The following verses remind us of the heart posture behind the foundational value:

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, - Psalm 95:6-7 (ESV)

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. This week we had the DTS Workshop 2026 at YWAM Montana Lakeside from around the world. It was so great to see the campus full of staff from various generations, conversations, prayer and people hungry to see God move. What a privilege to be surrounded by people passionate about Jesus, discipleship and seeing lives transformed through DTS.

Community Night was a powerful highlight, with an encouraging message from Nick Gough. A few takeaways:

Fear and faith both believe something is about to happen, the difference is our heart posture. Fear expects the worst, while faith trusts God with what’s ahead.

We serve King Jesus, who has already won. He has the victory and we get to live from that place.

Prayer is powerful. We’re invited to partner with God and trust Him to move.

Get in the car and let Jesus lead the way. We don’t need to know every turn, we just need to trust Him and follow.

The Extraordinary in the Ordinary
— Lamentations 3:22-23

“Because of the LORDʼs great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Jeremiah wrote these words from the ashes of a fallen Jerusalem. In that place where everything had been lost, in that most desperate hour, what he held onto was not some dramatic miracle, but the mercy of God that is “new every morning.”

We tend to call the extraordinary “grace.” A dramatic answer to prayer, a visible blessing, something worth sharing as a testimony. But the grace pointed to in Lamentations 3 is different. That you opened your eyes this morning. That you’re breathing. That you have food to eat. That another day has been given to you, just as it was yesterday—this very ordinariness is evidence of God’s faithfulness.

We fail to notice the ordinary as something special not because grace is scarce, but because it is so steady. No one falls asleep worrying whether the sun will rise. And yet the sunrise itself is a miracle repeated every single day—an expression of God’s faithfulness.

Today, before you ask for something extraordinary, first notice the hand that gave you this ordinary morning. In that steadiness lies God’s deepest love.

🌏 Why do we go?

Because God is worthy.
Worthy of all glory.
Worthy of all honor.
Worthy of all power.

Because God created the world and loves the people He created, we go because He is worthy to be known and praised in every nation, people and language.

At YWAM Montana, we are committed to seeing the gospel communicated by raising up people to carry the good news into the nations by training, sending and going.

Youth With a Mission has 18 core values as an organization. Today we highlight the first 3 values.

1. Know God
YWAM is committed to know God, His nature, His character and His ways as revealed in the Bible. Through knowing God we seek to reflect Him in our lives and ministry.

2. Make God Known
YWAM is called to make God known throughout the world and in every area of society through evangelism, training and mercy ministries. We strive to obey Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations.

3. Hear Gods Voice
YWAM is committed to creating with God through listening to Him, praying His prayers and obeying His commands in matters great and small. We live dependent upon hearing his voice.

Know God, Make God Known, Hear Gods Voice.
