Hello dear friends, its been years I know - thanks for still being here.
I'm making a special request today because you might recall our coast to coast USA roadtrip in aid of MG (myasthenia gravis) Awareness in 2011/12 and you know its hard work.
Well I'm asking for your support for a friend of mine who is cycling the Tour de France route to help 3 important charities that are close to his heart.
One of them might also appeal to you?
You can donate from wherever you are and if you are not able to send money, send him a message of support.
Like my driver Carole Brown, Dyll Davies is no spring chicken.
We managed 8500 miles across america in six months with lots of rest stops and helpful VW folk. Dyll is cycling 4000 miles, with no rest days at all and no support on the road.

Hello friends, I'm Carole Brown, the driver of this wonderful 1971 VW Westy which you all know as "The YesWeCan Campervan". It's time to find "Dexter" a new home. The first owner before me called him 'Dexter' so that's still his name. After eight years together and two trips cross country totalling over 17,000 miles, it's time for a third owner who can enjoy this workhorse of a bus.
Mechanically fantastic with rebuilt engine (2012), brake booster (2014), and transmission (2017) this all original Westfalia camper is ready to pick up and drive to a new home. Apart from some tlc to the paint (one dent and some peeling paint from sign removal) there's nothing that needs doing to this lovely bus.

One of our favourite photos - the trip back to MA from collecting me in Oregon after I was sold on eBay to lucky bidder Carole Brown. Carole drove me 9000 miles between OR and MA, over six months. All of the trip except the initial visit to two friends in CA, was unplanned and spontaneous - trusting that the universe will provide. And it did - plentifold :) We never knew that Route 66 ran alongside the I-40 interstate chosen - and here we stopped off in Tucumcari, NM - a very special day.

Last December 2017 I drove a new VW along a small portion of the same route I’d driven my 1971 VW bus in 2010. What a trip along memory lane! The route was between Flagstaff and Kingman in AZ…
