This is a fabulous event for kids! Plus you get free admission to the park! Just tell them you are there for Storywalk!

Please join us this Saturday, August 8th, for our monthly StoryWalk, presented in partnership with the Lake County Library and Lake County Literacy Coalition!

For August, we’re featuring "Over and Under the Pond", written by Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal, followed by a fun craft activity inside. We’ll be set up from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Visitor's Center. Hope to see you Saturday!

It's going to be very hot in the next few days. If you would like a cool place to hang out, United Christian Parish of Lakeport will be open on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 pm both days. Pets on a leash are welcome and will be kept outside in a shady, cool area. Please bring a phone charger. Let your friends and neighbors know about this!

Here it is!! Lakeport Drone Show in Xabatin Community Park on Friday, August 7! The show starts after dark! Come early to get a good place for your chair! We are so excited! Thank you to all of the contributors!

NOTE: The Drones will not be flying over the water. The best way to see them will be from Xabatin Community Park or close by.
