School is out, but children in Polk County can receive free meals through the statewide Summer BreakSpot program.

Locations throughout Polk will be providing free breakfast and lunch to children 18 and under.

IMPORTANT: Before you head out, check each site’s dates and hours of operation at summerbreakspot.org, not all locations have the same schedule. Please note that food must be consumed on site, take-home meals are not permitted.

Our 5th graders celebrated their end-of-year ceremony today! After awards were presented, students enjoyed a special video filled with their favorite 5th grade memories. They then participated in the Southwest tradition of releasing butterflies in the garden to symbolize our students spreading their wings and flying into their next chapter of school. 🦋💙
Congratulations to Myla Raymond and Kendall Fulghum for receiving the Fancelli Family Future Leaders Scholarship, which will cover all 4 years of their education at Polk State College! We are so proud of these outstanding students and all of our 5th graders as they begin this exciting new journey. 🎓✨

Our students had a blast at the FAST Celebration today! 🎉
Students in 3rd–5th grade enjoyed a morning full of fun games and activities as we celebrated all of their hard work and effort on the FAST test. We are so proud of our students for giving it their all and showing perseverance throughout testing season!

After the FAST Celebration, our teachers were also treated to a special ice cream bar from the Sunshine Committee as a thank you for all of their hard work and dedication this year! 🍦☀️
