The second week of March is very special to us because…. it Civic Learning Week!! ✨🇺🇸
This nationwide initiative promotes a deeper understanding of government, civic responsibility, and constitutional principles through activities and events that highlight voting, civil rights, public discourse, and citizen participation.
Special thanks to Florida Senate President Ben Albritton, former Congressman Dennis Ross and Dr. Stephen Masyada at the Lou Frey Institute for their leadership in advancing civic education, and to the Florida Legislature for supporting this important effort! 🦅

“The American Center for Public Leadership is honored to receive a grant to further its mission of civic education and engagement on a national level. If we are ever to become a more perfect union, then our middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities must have the courage to teach the next generation of leaders the unvarnished history of American Civics utilizing primary source materials, and the requirement that we all must participate in this process.“
- Former Congressman Dennis Ross
We are thrilled to share that we have received a grant from the Department of Education. This provides us the opportunity to expand new programs and nurture our existing ones. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve our student body and community 🇺🇸

Last night, I had the honor of accepting on behalf of the Former Members of Congress’ (FMC) Congressional Study Group on Korea, the General James A. Van Fleet Award by The Korea Society in recognition of FMC’s commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Korea relationship. FMC is incredibly honored to receive this esteemed award, joining the ranks of previous recipients such as President George W. Bush and U.S. Korean War Veterans. Since its inception in 2018, the Congressional Study Group on Korea has worked tirelessly to build bridges between the U.S. and our allies in Korea, and are proud to see these efforts commended by our friends and partners at The Korea Society.
