Elementary School & S.T.E.M. Accelerated Acadamy Cleveland Court Elementary School was built in 1927 to serve area children of the Cleveland Heights subdivision.

Our country, however, was in an economic depression at this time. The school opened for one semester, but due to low enrollment the school closed and was subsequently used as a Works Project Administration (WPA) facility. Later, it was used to build, assemble, and paint Patrol Torpedo (PT) boats during World War II. Finally, in 1947 Cleveland Court opened as a school for neighborhood children. Sin

Good Afternoon and Happy Summer!

As we transition into the summer months, we would love for our students to continue reading! June 1st-July 24th, the Lakeland Public library is hosting “Reading Roars! Dinosaur Invades.”During the challenge children will collect stickers and a chance at weekly prizes along with in-person events. Here is the link with more information. https://www.lakelandgov.net/departments/library/programs-classes/summer-reading-program-2026/kids-summer-reading-program-2026/

The picture attached to this post includes all of the 26-27 SSYRA and SSYRA JR books. At CCE, we incentivize the students who read these books with accurate AR quiz results throughout the school year. Even though our students will have to wait till AYou can help at home by encouraging your child to read and write to reflect so when they return to school in August they are able to review their boted before they AR test on each book read.
We would also love for our students to continue practicing their addition (k-2nd), subtraction with regrouping (1st-5th), multiplication (3rd-5th) and division (3rd-5th) math equations. Math fact fluency (automatic, effortless recall) is a great foundation for strong math skills as they grow and mature through school.

We will be posting 26-27 important dates in July! Stay tuned and have a fabulous summer!!

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, no backpacks will be allowed at all PCPS school sites for the remainder of the current school year.

This applies to all PCPS school sites beginning Tuesday, May 26, through Thursday, May 28 — the last day of school.

Students may carry bags no larger than a small purse. Lunchboxes will still be permitted.

This is simply a precautionary measure. It is not uncommon for schools to implement such a security change during the final days of the school year, when it is no longer necessary for students to carry backpacks or large purses.
