Throughout the summer, the LHMS Office is open Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and closed on Fridays.

Please note:

🎉 Honoring Our Retirees 🎉

Today, we celebrate three remarkable Lakeland Highlands Middle School educators whose dedication, passion, and commitment have shaped generations of Highlanders. After many years each in education, they are stepping into a well‑earned retirement — leaving behind a legacy that will be felt for years to come.

Mr. Coker — With over 20 years in education, he has inspired students through Robotics, engineering challenges, and hands‑on innovation. His classroom became a place where creativity met problem‑solving, and where students learned to think boldly and build confidently.

Coach Jones — A cornerstone of LHMS since 1995, she has shaped generations through her work in Social Studies & PE and her years serving as our Media Specialist. Whether on the field or in the media center, she encouraged teamwork, resilience, literacy, and a love of learning. Her leadership and heart have touched every corner of our campus.

Mrs. Youngblood — Serving LHMS since 2006, she brought Social Studies to life with passion and purpose. Her classroom sparked curiosity about the world and helped students understand history, culture, and their own place in the story.

Together, these three educators have poured countless hours, lessons, and moments of encouragement into our school community. Their impact is immeasurable, and their legacy will continue to echo through our halls. 💙

🎉 Celebrating Our 8th Graders! 🎉

Today, our Lakeland Highlands Middle School 8th graders marked their last day with smiles, memories, and a whole lot of pride. After gathering for their group photo, they took their final walk through the halls during our traditional 8th Grade Clap Out — cheered on by students, teachers, and staff who have watched them grow, learn, and lead.

Our Students vs. Cougar Staff Wiffle Ball Game was a blast today! The students came ready to play and walked away with the win — 4–1. Huge cheers to everyone who showed their Cougar spirit and made it such a fun afternoon. 🥎💙

This Thursday is Early Release. Students will be dismissed at 1:45pm.
