We’ve been busy crafting and repurposing. We were gifted some pretty cool buckets to recycle from our friends at Born & Bread Bakehouse. They used to hold sea salt, but now they hold culinary herbs.
Students rooted the rosemary and mint in this one, and we picked up the sweet basil at a farmer’s market.
Our “bucket farms” are made by stacking two buckets, which creates a water reservoir that helps keep plants healthy, especially when the weather turns scorching hot. Lots of holes and a wick later, we’re ready for soil and plants.
The goal for these bucket farms is that they brighten the day of folks in our community who could use some encouragement. If you know anyone who could use a little bit of joy, send us a message! If we receive more nominations then we have bucket farms, we’ll draw names.
We’ll deliver, and there’s no cost.

See you there!
P.S. We always wear masks when physical distancing isn’t possible. Bring one just in case.

We had a great time at today’s “Open Garden”. Thanks to friends both old and new for joining us! We’ll do it again soon.
Big thanks to the good folks at Harrell's LLC for sharing a really nice growing mix soil to refresh our raised beds. We are so excited to plant our cool season garden!
Thanks to G&G Farms and Buddy & Melissa Grimes for donating 🍓strawberry plants to share with the community.
