The school year has officially ended and we could not be more proud of the year we have had together. Through all the ups and downs, the many challenges, new experiences, and growth we still made it together. We made many memories this year and cannot wait to make more into the next. ๐Ÿ“šโœจ๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿ““โœ๏ธ

Thank you all so much to our parents, guardians, family members, community members, staff, and students for their loyalty and love for our school. We could not be the school we are without each individual that walks through our doors to pour into our students and their growth academically and developmentally. ๐Ÿซ‚

We will post updates throughout the summer with resources and information that may benefit your students so make sure to stay tuned. Our office will be open throughout the summer, Monday through Thursday if you have any registration or back to school needs. โœ…

Letโ€™s have a safe and restful summer before we come back to school in August to โ€œBEE AMAZING!โ€ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒปโค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

Shout out to Mrs. Hotwick, Mrs. Tracie, Mrs. Knowles, and Ms. Henderson for their putting together two raised garden beds outside of our arts building! The students in their classes have enjoyed this project so much since they get to see the garden outside their classroom windows. They have even seen their own caterpillars turn into butterflies in the garden and watch them as they get ready to fly away! ๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒผ

Thank you to Loweโ€™s for contributing to this and for these ladies for putting the entire project together! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

Thank you so much to Family Grill who came out to visit this past week with tacos and mini churros for some of our students! Students who randomly won the party were able to have their siblings or family members come along and attend with them as well. ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿซ‚

Thank you so much to Family Grill for choosing us at Griffin and for supporting our students! We appreciate you becoming a part of our Griffin community! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

Last Friday to kick off our Renaissance Day our principal Ms. Stinson and our Assistant Principal Mrs. Holbrook kissed a pig! All school year students voted on which principal they wanted to kiss a farm animal with their PBIS Eagle Bucksโ€ฆand they TIED to both kiss the pig! ๐Ÿท๐Ÿฝ

Thank you to these two who do whatever they can to make our kids laugh, feel rewarded for coming to school, and find a love for learning! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

We had our LAST Renaissance Day of the year this past Friday! We had even more fun than usual thanks to our amazing staff who came together with donations to have a mobile petting zoo come out with goats, a pig, ducks, and chicks! The students loved playing with the animals. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿˆโšฝ๏ธ

As always thank you so much to our staff who works so well together to make these days possible and happen. We wouldnโ€™t be able to do this without each of you! ๐Ÿซ‚๐ŸŽ‰

Next school year we will continue on with the Renaissance program and canโ€™t wait to find new activities to keep our students performing to their best everyday as Griffin Eagles! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

Last Thursday, May 21 we had our 5th grade moving up ceremony. We are so incredibly proud of each of our fifth graders this year and their impact on Griffin. We know they will do many great things and we hope to see them in 2033 when they graduate high school. ๐ŸŽ“โœจ

We know you all will do amazing things and hope that all your dreams come true! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

Thursday, May 28 is our last day of school for students and an early release day! K-5 dismissal will be at 12:55PM and PK dismissal will be at 12:15PM. No backpacks either this week throughout the entire week as we prepare for summer. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿš

We wanted to give a very special send off to our fifth graders who have made history this year at Griffin. We are so proud of them and how far they each have come throughout their time with us. It has been our honor to watch each of them grow into the individuals they are today. We wish them nothing but the best and cannot wait to see what their futures hold. ๐Ÿฅน๐ŸŽ“โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…

PLEASE make sure you keep track of reading resources this summer with your student to ensure they maintain new skills and avoid the summer slide! If you are planning on using online ClassLink resources for your student, make sure you get their login information to work with them over the summer.

We hope to see many students having read over the summer! Stay tuned to see pictures of our teachers and staff finding a good place to read themselves this summer! โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…
