Took a Volkswagen-powered airplane to a remote airport with a campground…
Slept through a thunderstorm.
Took off in questionable weather (spoiler: the forecast was wrong).
Ended up stuck at a tiny airport for 8 hours—just to play it safe.

Sounds like a bad plan? We did it anyway. 😅

The "Essentials":
🛒 Stopped at Mal-Wart for:

Bug spray ✅

Fire starters ✅

A "vicious" guard animal (okay, it was a dinasour) ✅

Bubbles 🫧 (non-negotiable)

The Adventure:
✈️ Flew in, set up camp, made a fire… then woke up to this.
⚡ When finally said "GO," I left.
🔋 When it turned out wrong, I landed—with dead batteries & dignity.

Shoutout to for inspiring (or at least tolerating) adventures like this!

Now I’m just hoping the algorithm shows this to anyone who’s ever doubted a weather report. Tag a pilot who’s been there!
