Today, we’re celebrating Ron Collins and an incredible 26 years of service to Lakeland Christian School! 💙⁠

For more than two decades, Ron has faithfully served our campus and community through his work on our maintenance team. His dedication, hard work, and willingness to serve have made a lasting impact on LCS.⁠

📚 Mrs. Foster’s 6th grade English students turned their projects into a Literary Museum Exhibit, displaying their work throughout the classroom and hallways. Students also had the opportunity to present their projects to small groups, sharing what they learned and bringing their literary work to life.⁠

Meet Joshua Rogers, our new Student Billing Coordinator!⁠

Joshua is joining the LCS team after making Lakeland home last September. Originally from Jupiter, Florida, he previously spent time in Lakeland while attending Florida Southern College and working at the Lake Miriam Publix.⁠
⁠
Joshua and his fiancée, Sydney, are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where they attend together. The couple is also getting married next month and is excited to begin this next chapter and put down roots in Lakeland.⁠

While some of our students were busy testing this week, our juniors and seniors were getting a different kind of education—one focused on skills they can use long after graduation.⁠

Students rotated through hands-on workshops covering self-defense with the Lakeland Police Department, personal finance with our High School Principal, basic auto care with Tank from our maintenance team, and much more.⁠

We love creating opportunities for our students to learn practical skills, ask questions, and prepare for life beyond the classroom. 📝

One of the things we value most at LCS is giving our students time to grow in their faith and spend time in God’s Word. That happens throughout the school day, but our weekly chapels are a special opportunity to come together as a school community. ⁠

Students and faculty gather for worship, fellowship, and teaching from God’s Word, often led by members of our own LCS faculty and staff. We’re grateful for these moments to pause, worship together, and keep Christ at the center of our school. 💙

🧽🚗 Learning doesn't always happen at a desk! Our second graders got hands-on with their latest lesson as they practiced sequencing and putting events in order—one car wash at a time! From start to finish, students worked through each step while putting their new skills into action.⁠
